This review is of a Freighter Eziliner B Double Trailer
set.
It is in light blue colours.
Packaging
It comes in a Freighter-branded box.
Inside, the parts are contained
within expanded polystyrene trays.
There were no missing parts or defects on the review
kit.
A Freighter marketing brochure is included, and this is
a nice document. Also provided is an instruction
sheet describing the features and functions of the
Freighter trailer models. Another very nice
inclusion is a sheet describing various configurations
of Australian road trains.
Detail
and Features
The set comprises
two trailers, and the details and features are of the
same standard for each.
The trailer chassi ar modelled well, and hoses run to each
axle. The wheels and tyres look good and working
suspension is provided which is nicely engineered.
The plastic storage boxes have highlighted handles and
sharp graphics
The landing legs can be lowered by unscrewing. The
fifth wheel on the front trailer is operated by a lever
which grips the kingpin of the following trailer.
Hose connections have tidy storage points.
The B trailer sits a little high on the A trailer fifth
wheel which seems to be due to the long king pin used.
The trailer boxes have an excellent paint finish and
sharp graphics.
The B trailer has opening doors which achieve a good
angle. The inside of the trailer is fully lined.
The detailing of the doors has highlighted locking
bolts.
Two spare wheels can be stored under the B trailer deck. Gates
can also be stored under both trailers, but because of the clearances only a
couple will fit comfortably on the rack under the B
trailer.
Optional 'Road Train' or 'Long Vehicle' signs can be
added.
Quality
and Price
These
are well made trailers with a high metal content, with
plastic used appropraitely.
The models are high quality, and the price reflects it.
Overall
These are very nice box trailers which are attractive in
the light blue colour scheme. They pair well with
a suitable prime mover.
