Weycor is a German brand operated by Atlas Weyhausen.
The AW 300 is a compact roller with an operating weight
of around 3 tonnes.
Packaging
It comes
in a small Weycor branded box with the model
contained within plastic formers.
The review model
had no defects or missing parts.
There is no information provided about the real machine
and the model is complete with no assembly required.
Detail
The drums are metal and are modelled with scrapers to
represent the vulcollan scrapers of the real machine.
The
drum supports are nicely modelled and include small
details.
The engine compartment has painted lights at the front
and the side grilles are represented by matt black
surfaces.
The
drivers area has the seat and controls modelled in
plastic and there is also a filler cap and some floor
markings.
The rollover bar is metal.
Features
The drums
roll smoothly on an appropriate surface.
The model steers using a pivot and an
angle of around 40° can be achieved. There is also a
small degree of tilt in the pivot connection.
Quality
This is a
small model with a high metal content.
The paint and simple graphics are very good.
Price
It is
reasonable value for its relatively low price.
Overall
This is a nice small model of a compact roller and would
look good with other models in a roadworks setting..
Footnotes
This
version of the model is a rebranded version of one that
was announced in Atlas colours. It first appeared in 2016.
