Comment on this model.

The Vögele Super 1900-3 Tracked Paver has a maximum paving width of 11m and can lay up to 900 tonnes of material per hour.

Packaging

The model comes in a Vögele branded box.  Inside, the model is enclosed between expanded polystyrene trays.

The review model had no defects or missing parts.

The model is complete with no assembly required, and there is no information describing its many features.  It does include a reprint of a brochure about the real machine which is very good.  Some spare track links are also included.

Detail

The metal tracks are very good including bolt heads in the pads and scrapers at the front.  There is a non-functioning spreader auger on the underside.

At the front the hopper belt is represented within the metal casting and the hopper sides are also metal with very sharp graphics.  There are some non-functioning rollers for engaging the wheels of a discharging tipper.

The body is a good looking part with deep grilles and smart graphics.  The operator's area has a textured floor, a finely detailed console and the two seats are good.  The slide out sections have see-through sides.  The canopy above is metal with plastic extensions.  One detail that is missing is the PaveDock signal blocks of the real machine.   The hand rails are metal and realistically sized.  There is a detailed engine under the various opening panel doors.

The screed has more textured surfaces and high quality handrails.  The cylinders to extend the screed are two stage but have been modelled as a single piece which is an acceptable modelling compromise.

Each end of the screed has a computer console and these are very finely detailed indeed.

Features

The tracks roll easily and are tensioned by spring-loaded idlers.  The front deflectors can move on their mountings.

At the front the rollers are on a sliding arrangement.

The hopper sides can close in to force material onto the belt.

Both operator's seats can be rotated out to provide a better view forwards, and the roof canopy above can be extended to provide shelter.  The console can move on a rail from side to side and it also rotates to face the seat.

The canopy roof and linked exhaust pipe can be lowered somewhat to provide a reduced headroom for travelling on a transport vehicle.

There are three opening engine covers which reveal a detailed engine.

The screed can be raised and lowered, and can be extended on both sides for width.

Quality

This is another very high quality paver model by NZG which is almost all metal.

It has very good paint and graphics.

Price

It is good value for the high quality and functionality offered.

Overall

This is a really good paver model by NZG and it keeps up the high reputation of models produced for the Wirtgen Group.
