This model is an
Imer truck mixer mounted on a MAN 8x4 chassis.
Imer is an Italian manufacturer of concrete equipment.
Packaging
The model comes in an NZG branded box with a window.
There were no defects or missing parts on the review
model.
There is no information about the real machine.
Detail
This is a heavy model with a relatively low
plastic content. Underneath, the chassis is fully
detailed with only the steering linkages being modelled for
functionality rather than detail. The tyres have a
decent tread pattern and are different on the steered
and driven
wheels.
The cab has horns,
beacon lights and aerials on the roof, and a see-through
roof light. The MAN name and logo is rendered in chrome
finish at the front. There is a number plate front and
rear.
Inside the cab, the detail is reasonably good.
Behind the cab the exhaust pipe looks good. The wheel
arches are metal throughout and the light bar at the
rear has nice plastic lenses.
The mixer drum is metal. The
water tank has a lifting eye and a tiny water gauge is a
fine detail. At the
rear the access ladder and platform rails are a little
thick but a nice touch is the perforated safety grid. The loading funnel and discharge
chute are metal.
Features
The truck rolls well enough and the front two
axles have linked steering which can be posed to a very
good angle.
The mixer drum rotates very smoothly.
At the rear the access ladder folds down.
The
discharge chute has full side-to-side movement.
Quality
As a heavy model it has a quality feel and the
use of plastic is limited.
The paint
and graphics are to a very good standard.
Price
It is reasonable value.
Overall
It is good to see a model of equipment made by
Imer. There are some really good details, and it
would look very good in company colour schemes.
Footnotes
This model first appeared in Q1 2022 and was an
update to model #965 which appeared in 2018.
