NZG 493 - Grove RT 700E Mobile Crane
Model Review April 2004

Page  1  2

Features

Each axle steers independently and a fair lock can be obtained although the wheels do foul the arches on a hard lock. Outriggers are fully operational and the other crane functions of slewing and telescoping can be carried out.  Two hoists are provided and these are operated by the tool NZG provides with the model.

The paint finish is very good and the decals are crisp and clear.  There is relatively little plastic on the model and in particular the outrigger beams are metal, which is always markedly better than plastic versions.

Price

This crane model is reasonable value for the detail offered.

Summary

This is a good looking model.  It is however a little lacking in the detailing which would have made this a very good model.
