The Taylor XH-360L Heavy Duty Forklift with an
operational capacity of around 16 tonnes.
This version is in the colours of the Dutch lifting and
heavy haulage specialist Mammoet.
Packaging
It comes in a windowed Mammoet branded box. Inside, the model
is contained between a pair of plastic formers.
There were no missing parts or defects on the review
model.
A numbered Mammoet Collector Card is included.
Detail
The underside has simple detailing of the base plate.
The rubber tyres have a good tread pattern and they
are mounted on wheels which are well detailed.
At the rear there is an excellent mesh grille and
detailed graphics including a fleet number. There are excellent tiny
graphic warning notices around the model and these add
to the realistic look.
The exhaust stack has excellent chrome mesh work.
Steps and walking surfaces are textured, and the cab has
plastic mirrors. Inside, there is texturing of the
floor. An air conditioner is modelled on the roof.
The two stage mast has a metal lower section and a tough
plastic upper section. Not all of the cable runs
of the real machine are modelled, presumably because of
the small scale.
The forks are metal.
Features
The model rolls well and the rear wheel steering
achieves an excellent tight angle.
The cab doors open to a good angle.
The mast tilts back and can hold any pose.
The carriage can be posed at any point on the mast, and
the second stage can be extended.
The forks are fully adjustable side-to-side.
Quality
This a high quality scale model with a high metal content,
and plastic is used appropriately.
The paint and graphics are excellent.
Price
It is decent value for the quality offered.
Overall
This version of the Taylor Forklift is attractive in the
Mammoet colour scheme..
It is a fine mix of detail and functionality.
