The Nooteboom Supertrailer ASDV-40-22 Drawbar Trailer is a simple transport for up to approx. 32 tonnes of payload. They are often used by companies that transport their own equipment, such as earthmoving and road construction machinery, containers and building materials.

This version of the model is one of the Nooteboom Red Line series.  It represents the 4-axle version of the real trailer with an excavator trough option.

Packaging

The model comes in a Nooteboom branded box and it is held between expanded polystyrene trays.

The review model had no defects or missing pieces.

Included parts are marker boards and deck width extension beams.

Detail

The small tyres are mounted on detailed wheels with plastic wheel half-arches. There is a spare wheel held in a frame. Detailing underneath includes a box and  rear landing legs.  The axles and suspension are modelled with both front and rear assemblies being substantially plastic.

The drawbar is spring loaded.  The front of the deck has a plastic insert with diamond plated texture,  and there are replica timber inlays which have individual boards detailed.  Side bumper bars are soft plastic.

The main deck has realistic tie-down loops which are separate parts.  The width extension brackets are nicely modelled and include the Nooteboom name.

The two ramps at the rear are fairly simple and have replica timber inlays.  Nice straps secure them in position.  The detailing at the back includes lights and graphics.

Features

The front two axles steer and achieve a decent angle.

The rear landing legs can be folded and lowered.

The drawbar can lowered on its spring.

The tie down loops can be rotated into position.

The ramps can be lowered but they did not quite reach the ground on the review model.

Marker boards can be fixed for a wide load or stored at the front of the trailer.

The deck width can be extended. The width extension planks have grooves which interlock with the support brackets to provide a secure fixing.

Quality

This is a nice quality trailer with a relatively high plastic content.

The paintwork and graphics are very good.

Price

The model is reasonable value considering the size.

Overall

This is a good looking trailer model in 1:32 scale.  It poses well with other model and it would be really good with a 1:32 tipper truck model to pair with.
