The Sennebogen 355E is a telehandler with a typical operating weight of around 5.5 tonnes.

The modelled version is fitted with a holding shovel, and lifting forks are also included.

Packaging

The model box is Sennebogen-branded and it includes some information about the real machine.  Inside the model is contained within cardboard-backed foam rubber.

There were no missing parts or defects on the review model.

No instructions are provided with the model and there are a number of parts to fit. There are two light stalks at the front, and two light bars at the rear. Two mirrors also have to be fitted.

Detail

The underside of the machine has no detail on the base plate and the axles are modelled in plastic.  The wheels are detailed and the tyres have a good tread pattern.  The wheel arches are plastic.

Small textured steps rise up to the cab which is the latest Sennebogen maXcab design, and it has metal grab rails although the mirror is not silvered.  Inside the detailing is good with distinct controls.  There is a plastic guard, work lights and a beacon light on the roof.  The elevating mechanism is connected by small brass rivets and soft cables run to the cab.

At the back is the Sennebogen name and on the side is the exhaust and air intake, and the graphics are sharp.  At the front the light stalks are plastic without any highlighting.

Soft hoses connect to the boom, and silvered pipes run along the top of the boom.  The connector at the end has hydraulic hoses running to it, and the connector is plastic.

The holding shovel is metal including the folding part.  Metal forks are provided, as is a plastic pallet.  Two tyres provided a load for the forks.

Features

It rolls well and the steering on each axle is excellent with a full range of movement.  The rear axle also oscillates.

The stabilisers can be lowered and the pads pivot, and the dozer blade lowers also.

The cab elevates smoothly and stays horizontal throughout.

The boom raises smoothly and the telescopic section pulls out with enough friction to hold any pose.

The shovel tilts well and the gate has an excellent range of movement.

The shovel is removable and the forks can be fitted.

Quality

This a good quality model by Conrad with plastic used appropriately.

The paintwork is very good with sharp graphics.

Price

It is reasonable value.

Overall

Conrad has produced a very functional model and most of the detailing is very good, with just some plastic parts being plain.  It poses well with other models.
