Detail
This is a relatively large and heavy model as a result of the 1:25 scale.
Detail underneath is very simple with plastic roller wheels. The guide wheels are modelled within the casting as solid parts.
The body is a pleasant casting with the curved shape nicely formed and it is visually enhanced with the sharp graphics and paint scheme. A small beacon light is fixed at the rear.
The mast is a robust metal casting with metal hydraulic ram pistons and jackets.
The cab is nicely modelled with a textured floor including a foot pedal and the doors are thin plastic. The control console is detailed with a computer screen. The seat is moulded well in plastic with good texturing. Two mirrors provide a rear view.
The carriage is all metal with separate forks and a plastic pallet. It is mounted on transverse beams which have rack teeth detailed within the casting.
Features
The plastic roller wheels are a little stiff but can roll. The rear roller rotates fully.
The cab elevates in two stages although the main mast rams are not stiff enough to hold the mast extended.
The load platform moves from side-to-side, and rotates. It can also be raised and lowered for fine positioning.
The operator's seat bottom can be raised to provide more room in the cab.
Quality
This is a heavy and solid model with a high metal content.
The general finish in terms of paint and graphics is very good.
Price
The model is reasonable value given its large size.
Overall
Conrad has produced a good quality model of the Linde K series which feels nice because of its size and weight. It is easy to recommend.
