The Zoeller Company was founded in 1947. It is a leading
manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles.
This version of the X2 is mounted on a MAN
TGS M Euro 6 4x2 chassis.
Packaging
The model comes in a Conrad branded
box. The model
is wrapped in foam rubber.
It had no defects or missing parts.
There is no information about the real machine and there are no instructions
for the model. The only assembly is to fit door mirrors and roof
aerials.
Detail
Underneath, the detailing of the transmission is very
good, and various tanks are modelled. The steering is modelled in a purely functional
way. The tyres are the same front and rear, and the
black wheels look very smart.
The MAN cab has nice lights and mirrors, and there are
beacon lights and aerials on the roof. The door handles are
modelled, and the interior detail is reasonable.
The body is metal and robust, and the structure is
modelled well. It has a beacon light at the rear,
and the hydraulic rams for the tailgate have large silver
rivets.
Features
The steering works very well with an excellent range of
movement.
The cab tilts revealing a detailed metal engine.
The tailgate raises high and the rams are stiff enough
to hold any pose.
Inside the body a working pusher is modelled and it is
spring loaded.
Quality
It has a high metal content and has a solid feel.
The paintwork and finish is very smart and the graphics
are sharp.
Price
It is good value.
Overall
This is a pleasing model of a municipal vehicle and
looks particularly good in the red colour scheme.
The functionality is also very good.
Footnotes
The model appeared as a Summer release in 2018.
