The
SCHWING-Stetter S 36 X RaZor has a vertical
reach of 35.12m and a horizontal reach of 30.8m.
Depending on the pump it has an output of up to 161m³.
It is mounted on a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 6x4 chassis.
Packaging
The model comes in a
Schwing-Stetter branded box and it is wrapped in foam
rubber.
The review model had no defects or missing parts.
There is no information about the real machine or the
model. The only assembly is to fit door mirrors
and a roof aerial.
Detail
The transmission and suspension is largely in
plastic, with
the
steering modelled for functionality. The wheels look good although the
tyres appear the same on all axles. Various tanks
and boxes are modelled.
The
Arocs cab has
door mirrors and an aerial, and the interior is fairly
basic. The Arocs grille looks good and there are number
plates.
The front outrigger beams are simple single
stage as are the rear beams. The pad pistons are screw threads.
The body sides have panel details within the casting and
there some textured walking surfaces on top. The
concrete lines are metal as is the
handrail. At the back the
hopper has a grille with a textured lid. The rear
lights are painted and there and there is a detailed control panel.
The pump equipment has hydraulic hoses.
The boom is metal with a flexible
hose at the end, and the pipework is metal too.
Hydraulic pipes are detailed within the boom castings. The colour match on the plastic hydraulic ram jackets
is good.
Features
The front axle has excellent steering with a very
good range of movement and the rear axles have some
suspension movement.
The outriggers
pull out and the
pads can be screwed down.
The hopper has an opening lid.
The articulated boom opens and rotates and the full range of
movement of the original machine can be replicated.
It is stable with the outriggers out. The
hydraulic rams are not stiff enough to hold any pose and
bleed down when extended out.
There are two opening side boards. There are hose
extensions inside the longest cupboard.
Quality
This is a robust model, with a high metal content.
The
white paint is good and
the relatively few graphics are very sharp.
Price
It is fair value for money.
Overall
This is
an update on Conrad's previous S 36 X concrete pump model
and has improved functionality. The plain colour
scheme is fine and the model would look good in a
company colour scheme. .
