Comment on this model.

This model is from the Corgi Hauliers of Renown 'Modeller' series.  It is in plain white and is intended for collectors who want to create their own livery.

Packaging

The model comes in a simple box style.  Inside, the model is contained within clear plastic trays.

There were no missing parts or defects on the review model.

Detail

The curtainside trailer chassis detail is simple with the usual dimpled finish and the wheels have decent fat tyres.  The twin landing legs have plastic cam feet.

The curtainsides are plastic but with realistic moulding detail and very good graphics with the tie-downs looking particularly good.  At the rear the doors have the hinges and bolts detailed within the casting.

Features

The trailer can stand on its support legs with the cam feet rotated down and it is reasonably level.

The model is intended to be repainted by the collector.  This should be straightforward although for top quality work skilled modellers might prefer to disassemble the trailer.  This was not attempted for the review.  Painting around some of the prepared details such as the tie-downs and rear door hinges and bolts would need a skilled hand to look good.

Quality

It is a robust model with the curtainsides being plastic.

The paintwork is fine.

Price

The model is reasonable value.

Overall

This is a basic model which is probably too plain to be an attractive collectible.  However it provides a good base for modellers wanting to apply their artistic talents.
