This model is a Talbert 60T Trailer.
It is in the colours
of Brian Lawler Construction and was released as part of
a set with a matching
Mack RD688SX
Tractor.
Packaging
It comes in an outer shipping carton which encloses a
Heavy Haulage Replicas box with the Talbert Trailers
name. The
model is held within a pair of factory sealed trays.
There were no missing parts or defects on the review model.
Included are tools and a bag containing a variety of
accessories and spare parts.
There is no information about the real trailer but a
comprehensive instruction sheet describes the
functionality of the model.
Detail
The underside of the trailer has the structure modelled
well. The axles have detailed suspension.
The dolly axle is of the same standard.
The dolly has reception holes for tractor hoses, and
there are hoses to connect to the trailer. There is
excellent high quality pin striping decoration and the
wheels are detailed. The tyres have a good tread
pattern but no sidewall branding.
The gooseneck has holes for the connection of hoses from
a tractor or the dolly. There are also hoses
connecting to the deck. The sides of the gooseneck
have fine pin striping and Talbert graphics. The top
has an etched grille and useable tie-down points. The
pivoting hoist is modelled.
The trailer deck has an excellent replica timber deck
surface with highlighted bolt heads. The deck edges have
pin striping, lights and useable tie down loops.
At the rear there are large soft mud flaps, nice lights
and a generic Talbert Trailers licence plate. The
top surface is nicely patterned. The wheels are
the same as those on the dolly.
A variety of high quality accessories are provide
including wheel chocks, timbers, cones, a fire
extinguisher, and spare tyres. Oversize load signs
are included. Of particular value are securing
chains in three different lengths, with binders.
Features
The wheels roll very well.
The pivoting hoist can be raised and lowered.
The gooseneck can be detached. Shims are
included to enable the gooseneck / deck angle to be
adjusted.
A different king pin can be fitted to the gooseneck /
dolly.
The trailer can be configured with or without the dolly.
Quality
This is high quality model, with a high
metal content.
The paint work and artwork are excellent.
Price
This is a very high quality
model which is reflected in the
price.
Overall
This is another high quality trailer model from Heavy
Haul Replicas and it looks great paired with the Mack
RD688SX in the same colour scheme..
