Who needs a driver?

The Develon Concept-X2 Dozer is a development machine demonstrating autonomous working.

This model is sold through the IMC webshop but is not manufactured by IMC Models.  On the box it is listed as made by the NEIB Company.

Packaging

The model comes in a Develon Concept-X2 branded box  It is held within two plastic formers.

The review model had no missing parts or defects.

There is no information about the real machine.

Detail

The undercarriage has some detail with large screw holes visible.  The metal tracks have detailed pads.  They are mounted on frames which have graphics applied to add detail.  The rollers are non-functional.

At the back is a ripper/scarifier assembly.  It is finely crafted in metal with discrete friction pin connections. The teeth are individual parts pinned into position.  There are some soft hydraulic hoses.

At the back there is camera and twin elevated sensors. The rear grille is properly perforated.  Detailed graphics surround the body, with some grilles formed of graphics.  Two of the side grilles are formed of extremely fine perforated mesh.  There are '100' graphics on each side of the engine cover which look poorly formed but in fact they replicate the decoration style of the real machine.

Textured steps lead up on the the body.

The blade is a metal part with a wear plate along the bottom edge.  The blade mechanism is modelled well.

Features

The tracks roll easily and they are spring loaded in the usual way.

The ripper can be raised and lowered and hold a pose.

The blade raises to a good height and the hydraulics have a nice stiffness.  The blade can be angled to either side.

Quality

This is a nice quality model with a high metal content.

The paint finish is generally very good, and the graphics are sharp.

Price

I
t is reasonable value.

Overall

This is an interesting model of an unusual machine.  Although it comes from a relatively unknown maker it is a well made quality model.
