This model has a Mercedes-Benz Actros 6x4 GigaSpace tractor and Nooteboom MCOS 4-axle trailer.

It is a limited edition in the colours of the Scottish heavy haulage specialist Cadzow.

Packaging

The model comes in a Cadzow branded outer shipping carton which encloses a high quality box.  The model is held within black foam.

There were no missing parts or damage on the review model.

A driver figure and alternate fifth wheel designed for fatter king pins is included.

Detail

The Actros has a detailed 6x4 chassis  and the tyres are different on the steering and driven axles. The wheels are very detailed.

The model has a unique serial number plate fixed underneath which is a better solution than a separate card which may get separated from the model.

The cab has air horns and aerials on the roof together with a nice light bar. The grille is impressive and the many graphics are very sharp.  There is a number plate and STGO plate.

Inside the cab tiny graphics are applied to the instrument cluster.  A helmeted driver figure is included.

Behind the cab there are cabinets and coiled lines. Diamond plated surfaces are modelled and the wheel arches are plastic like the real tractor.

At the back the lights have plastic lenses.

The trailer detailing underneath is very good with tanks and steering components modelled.  The wheel assemblies are metal with tiny graphics applied, and the wheels and tyres are very good.  Non-functional marker boards are fitted at the gooseneck.

The gooseneck has detailed tiny graphics and yellow stripe down the sides.  The deck has replica timber inserts and textured metal surfaces.

The edges have a reflective yellow stripe and there tiny graphics and highlighted tie-down loops.  At the rear the beacon lights and graphics give a realistic look.

The ramps are held in place with soft plastic straps which are detailed to represent chains.

Features

The Actros steering movement is excellent.

The doors open to a reasonable angle.

The driver can be installed in the cab, or left out.

The gooseneck has support legs which can be screwed up or down.

The trailer wheels have some loose mountings which meant that they did not all roll smoothly or pose naturally.  The axles have limited linked steering.

The trailer is extendible and can be pinned in numerous positions.

The loading ramps can be lowered to simulate loading.

Quality

This is a high quality model with a high metal content and plastic used appropriately.

The paint finish is excellent, and the graphics are sharp.

Price

The price is reasonable value.

Overall

This is a great looking limited edition in the colours of Cadzow. The standard of detailing is high and most of the functionality is good to with some aspects of the trailer not to the best standards.

Footnotes

The model was released in March 2022 as a limited edition of 300 models.
