This model is one of IMC's Loads and Tools range.
It is a Heavy Transformer with Lifting Cables.
It is based on a Siemens transformer.
Packaging
It comes in a simple box within an IMC branded sleeve.
The model and parts are wrapped in soft paper and held
within foam rubber.
The review model had no missing parts. A couple of
loose parts were easily refixed.
There are no instructions. A simple sheet
explaining the rigging and also giving the weight of the
real transformer would be useful.
Detail
The transformer appears to be a resin part with
additional added detailing.
There are useable lifting lugs and many small graphics give a
realistic appearance. Fine bolt head detailing
also enhances the look. A number of added
components add to the detail.
Wire lifting cables are included as are two simple
support stands. The cables are of a very similar
length meaning they all look under tension when used for
lifting the transformer.
Features
The transformer is a very good load on suitable heavy
haulage.
The lifting cables can be used with a heavy crane to
make interesting lifting poses. The real
transformer may be lifted by special frames at each end
for which the connection points can be used.
Quality
It is a high quality robust part.
The finish is very good and the graphics are
sharp.
Price
It is reasonable value.
Overall
This is a great looking Siemens transformer
which is a fine pairing for suitable heavy haulage or as
a crane load.
