| Comment on this model.
The Bomag BW 213 D-5 Single Drum Roller is designed for medium to heavy duty earthworks and subbase work, and it has an operating weight of 12 - 15 tonnes.
Packaging
It comes in a Bomag branded box in which the model is held within two interlocking plastic formers.
There were no defects or missing parts on the model.
The box has photos of the real machine on the end flaps, but there is no information about the real machine.
The model is complete out of the box with no assembly to do.
Detail
Underneath, there is no detailing. The roller drum appears to be metal and has a nice smooth surface with soft plastic scrapers. The wheels are good and the tyres have a nice tread pattern.
The rear section has many tiny graphics and the grilles are particularly good, being see-through.
The pivot point has two steering rams and there are hydraulic hoses crossing it.
The cab has textured steps leading up, and the cab itself is very good. The interior is reasonably detailed. Outside, the cab has a delicate windscreen wipers and a nice thin metal grab rail on one side.
At the front the drum frame has detailing within the casting and there is a large Bomag logo.
Features
The model rolls very well in a straight line.
Steering is achieved across the pivot point and the angle is good.
The engine cover opens to a decent angle and can be posed open.
