This is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van and this version of
the model is in the colour of Nooteboom's Red Line
Series
Packaging
The model comes in a Nooteboom branded box which holds the
model within plastic formers inside an expanded
polystyrene tray.
The review model had no
defects or missing pieces.
A sheet of peel-off graphics is included to personalise
the number plates to one of a number of European
countries. A pointer tool to assist opening the
doors is also included.
Detail
The chassis baseplate is plastic is detailed with the
transmission, exhaust system and spare wheel. The tyres are mounted on good looking wheels.
At the rear the van can be configured with a towing
hitch.
At the front there are nicely modelled grilles with a
silver Mercedes-Benz logo. The lights look
convincing and the number plate holder can be decorated
with a number plate of choice from a sticky backed
sheet.
There appears to be a fleet number on the front wings
and the doors have mirrors with built-in indicator
lights. Door handles are modelled in a realistic
way. The body sides have sharp graphics including
chevrons on the lower edges.
The inside of the cab is detailed including instrument
clusters and pedals.
At the rear the door fixtures are modelled with the
hinges appearing on the large side. The roof has a
nice ribbing in the casting.
Features
Different number plates can be fitted. A towing
hitch can be fitted.
The front axle has a
moderate angle of steer achievable.
The rear doors open to a wide angle, and they swing
easily.
The sliding side door opens fully.
The cab doors open to a less than full angle.
Quality
This is a
nice quality model.
The paintwork and graphics are
very good.
Price
The model is good value.
Overall
MarGe has produced a very pleasant large scale model of
the Sprinter. It goes well with related models in
the same scale.
