This is a model of a mobile concrete mixing plant of the
type that is sometimes used on construction sites..
it is
made of high quality printed plastic.
Packaging
The model
set comes in a simple plain box with the model parts wrapped
in bubble sheet.
The review model had one missing part which was quickly
supplied.
Assembly is straightforward but a simple instruction
sheet would be a worthwhile addition.
Detail
There are two interlocking baseplates which on the
review model were a slightly different shade of grey.
The towers look very good with texturing and coloured
panels used. The SBM logos are particularly good.
Windows are glazed and doors are detailed with handles.
Stairs and platforms have decent handrails and proper
grilles for platform surfaces. Many of the
discrete parts have useable lifting eyes. The tops
of the towers have various equipment modelled.
The loading bay has well made mesh screens on the sides
and the internal ramps are textured for road vehicles.
The conveyor is black underneath to represent rubber
belts.
There are no graphics applied.
Features
The plus point of the model is that it can be used as
realistic transport loads, as a diorama showing erection
on site, or as a completed assembly.
It can be fitted with discharge funnels to suit
either truck mixers or concrete skips.
The loading bay has a movable conveyor. Both the
lid and the loading hopper can be raised but they cannot
hold a raised pose.
Quality
It is 3D plastic printed of very good quality
so the visual appearance is attractive from most
viewpoints. Only in a couple of places is the
ridging seen in 3D printing visible.
Price
It is a large model which is made to order, and is
therefore relatively pricey.
Overall
This is an interesting and unusual model which poses
well as part of a diorama with other models.
