This is a model of a Column of the type used in heavy
manufacturing process plants.
it is
made of high quality printed plastic.
Packaging
The model
set comes in a simple plain box with the model wrapped
in paper and bubble sheet.
The review model had no missing parts or defects.
It consists of the column and two transport cradles.
Detail
The transport cradles have their structure modelled and
the lifting / tying-off points have holes.
The column is a large piece. At the bottom the
bracing for the lifting point is modelled and the dome
shape of the vessel inside can be seen. It has a
pipe blanking plate modelled.
The bottom ring looks impressive and it has concentric
holes top and bottom for fixing bolts.
The outside has a very slight ribbed finish consistent
with being printed. There are small yellow fixing
points, and tiny brackets are fitted. Numerous
pipes with blanking plates are modelled and they have
bolt head detailing. Two main lifting points are
modelled at the top end.
A dome is modelled at the top and it has a pipe with a
blanking plate.
There are no graphics applied.
Features
The column is an effective looking load for suitable
heavy haulage and it sits well on its transport cradles.
The column can be lifted using the lifting points and
its low weight makes it very suitable for use with a
large crane model.
Quality
Although it is plastic it looks very good and the
printed manufacture is only visible on very close
inspection..
Price
It is not cheap but it is a large modell.
Overall
This is a very good looking accessory for use with heavy
haulage and crane models.
