This model is a Meiller tipper mounted on a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 8x4 chassis.

Packaging

The model comes in an NZG branded box with a window.

There were no defects or missing parts on the review model.

There is no information about the real truck, and as the model is complete out of the box, there are no instructions required.

Detail

This is a heavy model with a relatively low plastic content.  Underneath, the chassis is fully detailed in metal with only the steering linkage being functionally modelled.  The tyres have a decent tread pattern and it is different on the front and rear axles.

The cab has horns, beacon lights and aerials on the roof, and the roof light is see-through.  The doors have mirror cams fitted and there are screens inside the cab to match.  The distinctive Arocs grille is modelled with a realistic appearance.  There is a dummy NZG number plate front and rear and there are some tiny Mercedes-Benz graphics which are sharp.

Inside the cab, the seats have arm rests and there is the Mercedes-Benz logo on the steering wheel.

Behind the cab the exhaust and intakes are modelled in plastic.  The wheel arches are metal throughout and the light bar at the rear has nice plastic lenses, and there is a towing hitch.

The Meiller tipper body is metal with a single stage hydraulic ram. The mechanisms for the opening sides are modelled but are not functional.

Features

The truck rolls well and the steering can be posed to a very good angle.

The tipper body raises to a realistic angle.

The tailgate opens and is reasonably free-swinging.

Quality

It is well made model with a high metal content.

The paint and graphics are very good.

Price

It is reasonable value.

Overall

This is updated Arocs truck features the latest door cameras instead of mirrors.  It is a robust model with a high quality feel.
