The Genie GTH-1256 Telehandler
has
a maximum lift height of 17m, and a maximum lifting
capacity of 5.4 tonnes.
This model is 1:32 scale.
Packaging
The model comes in a Genie branded box, and is contained in a
pair of trays, and is further
protected by soft paper.
There
were no missing parts or defects on the review model.
There is no information about the model. However,
a QR code on the box links to information about the real
machine.
A spare set of telescope locking pins is included
Detail
The chassis is detailed with plastic driveshafts
linking the axles. The wheel nuts are highlighted, and nice rough
terrain tyres are mounted on the wheels. The
suspension rams are nicely modelled, but non-functional.
The cab is very good. On the outside there are thin wipers and a good beacon light and
mirror. Inside the control panel and steering
wheel are detailed and look realistic.
At the back the lights are painted, and there is a Genie
badge. The engine cover is a nice metal casting with
the Genie name indented and painted. Grilles are
represented by black paint.
At the front the lights and mirrors are plastic.
The boom is four section metal with a large ram on the
top of the lowest section which also has large sharp
graphics. The pulleys for the cable telescoping
are modelled but there are no ropes.
The forks and frame are metal.
Features
Both axles steer with a reasonable range of movement.
The boom elevates to a realistic angle, and the sections telescope smoothly
with a locking clip at each full extension.
The frame can be angled and is controlled by a smooth
cylinder. The forks can be narrowed.
Quality
This is a heavy model with a high metal
content.
The graphics and paintwork are very good.
Price
It is good value when obtained from
Genie Merchandise.
Overall
This is another robust 1:32 scale model by NZG. It functions well and
interesting poses are possible.
Footnotes
The model was announced in November 2025.
