| Comment on this model.
The AR 75e T is a wheel loader with a telescopic boom.
It weighs 6 tonnes and has a shovel capacity of 1.0m³.
Packaging
The model comes in a small Weycor branded box and is held between expanded polystyrene trays.
There were no defects or missing parts on the review model.
The model is fully assembled when removed from the box. There is no information provided about the model or the real machine.
Detail
The underside is detailed nicely with the transmission complete and the treaded tyres look good and they are mounted on detailed wheels.
At the rear the lights are painted and the engine cover is cast well and it has tiny graphics. The exhaust pipe is plastic.
The cab is detailed really well with lightly tinted windows and distinct frames. Inside the steering wheel and controls look good and there is a textured floor. On the outside there are plastic mirrors, wipers and grab rails.
At the pivot point there are no hoses crossing, and there are soft rubber mud flaps behind the front wheels. A wheel chock is mounted on one side.
The boom is good with pleasant casting details. Two of the hydraulic rams are very thin with metal jackets, but there are no hoses. There are very thin hoses at the connection point for the shovel.
The shovel is nicely formed with sharp teeth.
Features
It rolls well and steering across the pivot point achieves a good angle. The rear axle has a small degree of oscillation.
The engine cover opens but the range is restricted so it is difficult to see the engine inside.
The boom raises to a reasonably high angle which is a little short of the real machine and at the top the main ram loses straightness. It telescopes and the mechanism was smooth on the review model.
The tilting of the shovel is very good.
The shovel can be removed by taking out a couple of pins.
Quality
The model is high quality and mostly metal with some plastic elements.
The paintwork and graphics are very good.
Price
The model is reasonably priced.
Overall
This model is a largely cosmetic revision of the earlier Atlas Weycor branded version (NZG #883) It is a nicely executed model.
Footnotes
The model was announced at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in 2016. A set of forks (NZG #936) was produced as an optional extra.
