The Yanmar B110W is a smaller sized wheeled excavator.

It has an operating weight in the 11 tonne range.

Packaging

The model comes in a Yanmar branded box.  Inside the model is wrapped in soft paper and rests in a polystyrene tray.

There were no missing parts or defects on the review model.

It is fully assembled.  There is no information about the model or the real machine.

Detail

The underside of the carrier has the transmission detailed in plastic, and the the axles are nicely detailed also.  There are twin metal stabilisers at one end

The cab has metal grab rails, and a thin windscreen wiper which is painted into the windscreen.  The windows have detailed frames and seals giving it a detailed and realistic appearance. The interior is detailed also.

The curved body has the Yanmar name at the back, and painted lights and small graphics add to the appearance.  Grilles on the side are formed by painted indentations. Rear and side mirrors are modelled in plastic.

Up on top there is a small exhaust pipe.  At the boom foot there are soft hydraulic hoses which cross to the boom.

The hydraulics on the boom and stick are complex with many soft hoses.  The connection pins are very discrete.

The bucket is a good casting with nice teeth.

Features

The wheels roll well without being fully free spinning. The steering axle performs well and it also oscillates.

The stabilisers can be lowered.  However, because of the oscillating axle the body tends to tilt over when reaching to the side.

The model rotates well.

The movement of the two-part boom and stick is very good with a pleasant stiffness in the cylinders.  It does not reach up fully, but digging at depth is very good.  The boom also rotates on its pivot point to give offset digging, with movement being more on the right than on the left.

The bucket is removable and can also be reversed.

Quality

This is a high quality model with a very good finish.

The metal content is high and the paint and graphics are excellent.

Price

The model is decent value.

Overall

This Yanmar model is very attractive in the red and black colour scheme.  It is well made and poses well with other models.
