The Wacker Neuson WL20e Wheel Loader is an all electric
machine weighing around 2.4 tonnes.
This model is 1:32 scale.
Packaging
The model comes in a Wacker Neuson branded box and is wrapped in soft paper and
contained in a
pair of expanded polystyrene trays.
There
were no missing parts or defects on the review model.
There is no information about the model or the real machine.
A spare beacon light is included.
Detail
The
transmission and axles are modelled, and the rest of the
modelling is simple. The rubber tyres have a
realistic tread pattern and they are mounted on nice
wheels which are detailed on the outer faces.
The wheel arches are plastic.
At the rear of the body there is a curved shape
with plenty of nice detailing including small graphics
and highlighting of various parts.
The
cab has got metal handrails and the doors have a W logo
formed in the castings. The roof has some
perforations and there are nice work lights and a beacon
light. Inside the cab the controls are modelled
well with a W logo on the steering wheel and tiny
graphics on the console.
The loader arm is modelled very well with discrete
connections and soft hydraulic hoses. Highlighting
and graphics add to the realistic appearance.
The bucket is a simple metal part with modelled teeth.
Features
The
model rolled reasonably well with a slight stickiness on
one axle.
Steering across the pivot point achieves an excellent
angle.
The loader mechanism works in a precise way. It
reaches a realistic height, and the the tipping and
carry angles on the bucket are very good.
Quality
This is a high quality model
with a high metal content.
The graphics and paintwork are very good.
Price
It is
good value when obtained from
the Wacker Neuson shop.
Overall
NZG has produced a well engineered model which has a
quality feel and nice
detailing.
Footnotes
The model appeared at the
Bauma Exhibition in April 2019. A
slightly different version was produced as the Weidemann
1160e, model number #985.
