This software simulator is published by Excalibur Publishing.

Installation was straightforward on the Vista machine used for the review.  The package includes a good quality printed manual which lists the controls and describes the main aspects of the game.

The purpose of the simulator is basically limited to the tasks of maneuvering and parking articulated trailers.  This requires skill and so there is challenge in the numerous tasks included, and the game records the speed of completion and whether you damage your vehicle.  Three difficulty levels can be set from easy to pro.  Only the initial training tasks are unlocked at the start, so you have to progress linearly through the tasks to unlock the later levels.

As usual numerous camera angles can be used to assist the task, but if you think you are good you can select the pro level which only allows in-cab views as in real life.

The graphics are pretty good and include other moving objects such as pedestrians and vehicles.  The instruments on the cab dashboard work.  The sound effects are adequate but unexciting.  Alternative controllers can be used in addition to the keyboard and mouse.

The demands on the computer are quite high and gameplay can became choppy but this was reduced by turning off some settings such as the door mirrors as recommended by the manual.

The gameplay has some interest because it does require skill to park the trailers well.  However it becomes repetitive and this activity would really be good if it was part of a larger truck driving scenario.  Still, it does pass a few hours successfully and truck fans will enjoy the challenge.
