The Cometto Eco500 is a compact self-propelled module
designed for intralogistics transport procesess such as
transport tasks and material flows.
It has a dead weight of 9.5 tonnes and a maximum payload
of 66.5 tonnes.
Packaging
The model comes in a windowed box with the model
protected in black foam rubber.
There were no missing parts or defects on the review
model.
There is information about the real machine on the
box. A small booklet is included which describes
the real Eco500 and the features of the model. The
QR codes provided were not working at the time of the
review.
Detail
The underside of the module is metal with some
detailing in the casting. There is
a large Siks Scale Models is printed. The pendulum
axles are also modelled in metal.
The tiny wheels deserve a mention as they are detailed
with very thin slick tyres as befits a vehicle used in
industrial settings.
Each side of the module has excellent detailing
comprised of tiny graphics and etched metal. There
also yellow stripes along the edges. At the ends
the axles are individually numbered.
The deck is excellent with anti-slip texturing in the
metal casting and highlighted tie down loops. The
silver plates are modelled in
tough plastic.
Features
The
wheels roll smoothly and the suspension has an excellent
range of movement relying on friction to hold a pose.
Each pendulum axle rotates through 270°.
Modules can be connected in parallel of in line and the
parts are included to make the connections.
Quality
This is very high quality model
with a very high metal content.
The paintwork and graphics are generally excellent.
Price
This is a small model which is a reasonable price for
the quality delivered.
Overall
Siks Scale Models had produced an excellent replica of
the Cometto Eco500. It is well presented and made,
and has the feeling of quality.
