The Sany iSEE2 Dump Truck is an 8x4 electric vehicle and
was first announced by Sany in 2022. This model is
in the larger scale of 1:35.
Packaging
The model comes in a Sany branded box which has a
plastic carry handle. Inside the box, the model is
contained within a pair of expanded polystyrene trays
which are clipped together.
The model is protected by soft paper.
The review model had
no defects or missing parts.
A plastic pointer tool is included with the model.
Detail
The chassis has leaf spring suspension represented on
the steering axles. An electric engine sits in the
middle of the chassis. The transmission prop
shafts and rear
suspension are modelled. A plastic box and small tanks
are replicated. At the rear the light clusters have
plastic lenses.
The wheels look good and they have simple tyres.
Hard plastic mud flaps are provided all around.
The cab has texturing on the roof and plastic mirrors. At the front the
Sany name
and badges are represented very well.
Inside the cab the detail is very good.
Behind the cab there is a large metal cabinet which
presumably holds the batteries on the real truck.
The lift ram for the dump body is three stage. The body is metal and very strong,
with an excellent structure. It is nicely
decorated. There is an easy slide cover made of a
tarpaulin-like material.
Features
The model rolls smoothly and the linked front steering has a moderate amount of steering
movement. The steering is also linked to the
steering wheel which rotates slightly as the wheels are
steered.
There is working suspension on axles 2, 3 and 4.
The cab has an opening flap at the front which reveals
detail underneath. The cab tilts to a very good
angle and more equipment is modelled underneath. The
cab doors also open to a good angle.
The dump body ram is smooth and stiff, and it can hold a
pose in any position. The angle of tipping is
reasonable but the real truck probably achieves a steeper angle.
The tailgate is clipped in a closed position and can be
unclipped and opened.
The easy slide cover can extend over the whole dump
body. However, it cannot fully retract to a
storage position which detracts from the appearance
somewhat.
Quality
This model
is made well. It has a high metal content with
plastic used appropriately.
The paintwork and graphics are very good.
Price
Although not offered through retail channels,
the model is anticipated to be reasonable value.
Overall
This is an interesting model of a new
generation of Sany electric trucks by Sunraise Classic
Models.
It is a good mix of detail and functionality.
