Zoomlion is one of the largest Chinese construction
machine manufacturers. The ZRS326 is a single drum
road roller with an operating weight of 26 tonnes.
The model maker is not stated. It was distributed
by NZG with a part number of vakf0003.
Packaging
It comes in a Zoomlion branded box with
the model held within
two plastic formers.
There were no defects or missing parts.
There is some information about the real compactor
printed on the box.
Detail
Underneath, there
are scrapers on the drum, and the steering
hydraulic rams are modelled. The rest of the
underside is simple, with just the scale marked on. The metal rear wheels have bolt heads and nice
rubber treaded tyres with a robust tread pattern.
At the front the
smooth drum is metal, with a metallic paint finish, and
the side frames are nicely detailed with indentations
and precise paint and graphics.
The pivot point has simple detailing and textured steps
lead to the cab. The cab is modelled well with
nicely detailed doors and inside the
controls and seat look good, with Zoomlion printed on
the console. The mirrors are
plastic.
The
rear of the machine has detail within the casting and a
tiny Zoomlion badge. Grille positions on top are
formed and there is an exhaust.
Features
The rubber tyres
roll nicely and the drum is smooth
in action.
The pivoted steering works
but the angle is very restricted.
Quality
The model has a quality feel with a high metal
content.
The paintwork and graphics are
very good.
Price
It is reasonable value.
Overall
Models of Chinese machines are often in a larger scale
so it is interesting to see one in 1:50. It is a
pleasant model of good quality although the
functionality is limited.
Footnotes
The model first appeared in 2019.
