This truck is a Volvo FH4 Sleeper Cab
8x4 with a Palfinger Hooklift System and a Hooklift
Asphalt Container.
It is a limited edition model in the colours of the
Swedish company Hakarps Schakt and Transport.
Packaging
The box is
WSI branded, and the packaging is the standard WSI type for a truck model.
There were no missing parts or defects on the review
model.
There is no information
about the real truck, Hooklift System, or model.
Detail
The
Volvo chassis is an 8x4 arrangement with a steered rear
axle, and it is detailed with all suspension and transmission parts.
The wheels are very detailed with different tyres on the
steering and driven axles.
The cab has a beacon light bar on the roof and the
mirrors are coloured or have markings. The bull
bar looks great and the decoration of the cab is
excellent. There is a realistic number plate.
Behind the cab the casting detail includes the Volvo
name and there is a nice chrome exhaust. The
side fairings are also beautifully decorated. At
the rear the paver bumpers are nicely formed.
The Hooklift is modelled well, and the twin rams have
plastic jackets.
The asphalt container is half-pipe shaped, with a very
reflective chrome exterior, and there are some sharp
graphics applied. It has a plastic cover which is
textured to represent tarpaulin, and a very smooth
interior.
Features
There is linked steering between the front and rear
axles but the range of movement is very small. The
truck does not roll smoothly with the rear driven axles
floating and binding.
The cab does not tilt because of the fixed bull bar.
The movement of the Hooklift system is very good, and it
includes a telescopic section, and any intermediate pose
can be held. The rear rollers on the chassis turn.
The tipping function for the container is also very
good.
The container cover is removable, and the rear tailgate
opens although it was not free-swinging on the review
model. The rear rollers on the container are
functional.
Quality
It is well made with a high metal content
and appropriate use of plastic.
The decoration of the model is excellent.
Price
The model is fully priced for a rigid truck.
Overall
This is a particularly attractive looking truck, and it
has very good functionality of the Palfinger Hooklift
system. It poses well with other paving-related
models.
