This model is of an
8x4 Scania S Highline I CS20H.
It is
a limited edition in the colours of Donohue Heavy
Haulage,
an Irish company.
Packaging
The packaging is the usual WSI-branded
windowed box with the model held in a plastic former
inside an expanded
polystyrene tray, with a clear plastic lid.
There were no missing parts
or defects on the review model.
There is no information about the model or the real
truck.
Detail
The chassis has a very detailed transmission and
suspension. The wheels are detailed with highlighted
blue hubs and there are different tyres on the steering and non-steering axles.
The
Scania Highline cab looks really good in the Donohue
colour scheme. Tiny graphics highlight the grille.
There is a realistic number plate.
Under the cab is a detailed engine.
The equipment tower has tanks and cabinets with the
Scania logo on the farings. The cabinets have a painted
finish rather than the chromed finish on the real truck.
Coiled
lines run from the tower.
The wheel arches are
very smart.
At the back the lights have plastic lenses.
Features
The
Scania has linked steering on axles 1 and 2 with a
limited range of movement possible.
The cab tilts forward
and it poses in a tilted position.
Quality
This model is high quality with a high metal
content and plastic used appropriately.
The paintwork is
excellent as are the graphics.
Price
The model is moderate value.
Overall
This is an attractive version of the Scania latest
generation truck. It would look great with an
appropriate trailer and load.
