Comment on this model.
The Volkswagen Caddy is a general utility van.
Fully loaded it weighs around 2 tonnes.
This version of the model is in the colours of
Eurovia which
is part of the
VINCI Group.
Packaging
The
box is in Eurovia branding and inside the model is held
in an expanded polystyrene tray with a clear plastic lid.
There were no missing parts or defects on the review model.
There is no information provided about the real
van
or model.
Detail
The chassis is detailed with the spare wheel and exhaust
system indicated within the casting. Treaded tyres are
mounted on small detailed wheels.
The body is metal with panels and doors delineated
within the casting, and the Eurovia graphics are sharp.
Tiny indicators are highlighted with paint.
At the front the lights have lenses and the VW logo is
nicely rendered. There are number plates front and
rear, and the rear lights also have lenses. The
view inside the rear doors is not good as there is a
large obtrusive element of casting which is probably a
connection point from the chassis.
Detail inside the driver's cabin is excellent with a
hazard warning button indicated.
Features
The steering is notched
with a
limited range of movement.
Both the front and rear axles have sprung suspension.
Quality
It is well made with good paint and graphics, some
of which are very small.
Price
The model is
reasonable value noting the small size.
Overall
This van from WSI provides an interesting addition posed
with other models in a matching livery.
Footnotes
The model in Eurovia colours appeared in early 2013
and was made in a run of 300 models.
