Comment on this model.

This truck model is of a highly decorated working truck.  It is a Scania R620 6x2 and is operated by Countrywide, a UK supplier to the rural community.  This Scania joined their fleet in 2010.

The model is a limited edition commissioned by Maguires Models.

Packaging

The packaging is a typical WSI-branded windowed box with the model held in an expanded polystyrene tray, with clear plastic inner tray and lid.

There were no defects.  The collector card was not included with the review model, and was supplied separately.

An instruction sheet advises not to tilt the cab as a bullbar is fitted.  The collector card gives the unique number of the model in the production run.

Detail

The 6x2 transmission is detailed well and some components are plastic but with a very good colour match.  The wheels stand out and have different tyres on the steering and non-steering axles.

The highlight of the model is the graphics decoration and it really stands out.  The printing is fine quality, even under close inspection.

The cab has windscreen wipers, and a light bar on the roof.  The door mirrors are colour-coded.  The cab interior is also good as it has coloured parts and graphics on the seats.

At the front the bull bar is impressive and the name of the truck 'Deborah Elizabeth' is rendered above the Scania badge.

Behind the cab the smooth surface and fifth wheel cover have graphics, and at the back the lights have plastic lenses and there is a number plate.

Features

The Scania has linked steering which works on axles 1 and 2.  However only a small range of movement is possible.

The cab was secured from tilting on the review model because of the bullbar.

The fifth wheel has a cover which can be fitted although it was loose rather than clipping in to position on the review model.

Quality

This model is high quality with plastic used appropriately.

The paintwork and graphics are of stand-out quality.

Price

The price reflects the limited edition nature of the model.

Overall

WSI has a strong line of highly decorated show trucks and this one maintains a high standard in terms of the quality of decoration.
