| Comment on this model.
This model comprises two Scheuerle InterCombi modules.
It is in the colours of Daher-HCS, a German logistics company and the model has been commissioned by Heavy Transport Models.
Packaging
The packaging is a standard WSI branded box.
There were no defects or missing parts on the two models reviewed.
There are no instructions included and some would help with the small parts included. There is no information about the real trailer.
Detail
The trailer is made up of two Scheuerle modules totaling 9 axle lines.
There is a 5-line and 4-line unit and they are from the standard WSI Scheuerle range. Underneath the modules there are intricate hydraulic lines joining the tanks. The wheels are nice and the structure of the trailers is modelled in an authentic way.
The steering linkages are metal and diamond plated metal cover plates provide the protection. Detailing of the module edges has small graphics including maximum speed signs. Clip-on light arrays can be added to the rear of the trailer.
A drawbar is provided and it has two springs which maintain the drawbar in a horizontal position when not attached to a tractor.
Features
The Scheuerle modules have excellent independent suspension.
The steering is proportional on both modules. It is also configurable by adjusting the position of the metal steering bars, although no information is provided on this aspect.
The two modules connect using WSI's excellent locking system.
The drawbar and light plates can be fitted as required.
Quality
These modules are high quality and well made.
The paintwork and graphics are of a very high standard.
Price
It is reasonably priced given the complexity of the model.
Overall
As an individual model it would look a little lonely. However when paired with tractors in the same livery an impressive heavy haulage display can be arranged.
Footnotes
The model in this colour scheme first appeared in February 2015.
