This tractor model is a MAN TGX XXL Euro 6C 8x6 with
Ballast Box.
It is in the colours of
Baumann.
At the time of its introduction in 2019, this tractor
was claimed to be the most powerful in Germany. It
is a conversion by Maurer of a standard factory truck
and is 6 wheel drive.
The model was commissioned as an exclusive limited
edition by
Fritzes
Modellbörse with 150 models made.
Packaging
The packaging is the usual WSI-branded
windowed box.
There were no defects or missing parts on the review
model.
There is no information about the real truck but a
collector certificate is included which states that the
production run is 150 models.
Detail
The MAN 8x6 chassis is highly detailed with different tyres on the front and rear axles. They are mounted on
detailed wheels with red hubs.
There is a light bar on the cab roof, and air horns on
one side. The MAN grille is excellent
and there is a realistic number plate. On the bumper are
Baumann Maurer graphics, and there is a towing hitch.
Inside the cab, the
seats and controls are modelled. Under the cab is a detailed engine
which has MAN Common Rail printed on it.
Behind the cab, the
equipment tower is very good. There is a fan
within a mesh enclosure on top, and small tanks are
modelled. The cabinets have the handles detailed and there are coiled lines. There
are textured walkways and wheel arches.
At the back, the lights have plastic
lenses and there is a number plate and a towing hitch.
The ballast box is an all plastic part with an excellent
colour match to the metal parts. The tarpaulin
cover is realistically modelled.
Features
The steering has good range of movement, although it was
a little loose on the review model.
The cab tilts to a moderate angle, and can be posed
tilted.
The ballast box can be attached or left off.
Standard WSI trailers can be connected to the fifth
wheel if desired.
Quality
This model is very high quality.
The paintwork and graphics are to a
very high standard.
Price
The model is fully priced as a limited edition with
special tooling.
Overall
This is a detailed model of an impressive tractor, and
it looks good in the Baumann colour scheme.
