This model is a
Nooteboom Redline Series MANOOVR 5-axle with a Scania R
Normal CR20N 6x4
Tractor.
Packaging
The model comes in high quality packaging which is
Nooteboom
branded. The model parts are held within black foam.
There were no missing parts
of damage on the review model.
There is a small booklet which has interesting
information about the real trailer, and it also
describes most of the features of the model.
There are a couple of bags of small parts to fit.
Detail
The
Scania has a detailed
6x4 chassis and the tyres are different on the steering
and driven axles.
The cab
detailing is excellent and the graphics include a scale
model fleet number.
Behind the cab there are coiled lines. The
wheel arches are realistic and there are license plates
front and rear.
The gooseneck is very detailed and the underside has a
detailed king pin turntable. The anti slip surface
is convincing. Additional details include a spare
wheel holder at the front.
The trailer is a five axle Manoovr unit with ramps. The detailing underneath is very good
with metal wheel assemblies, and the wheels have coloured centres.
The top surfaces have an excellent finish with
anti-slip texture. The
edges have a reflective yellow stripe and there tiny
graphics and highlighted tie-down loops. At the rear
the beacon lights and graphics give a realistic look.
This version of the trailer has a well at the rear to
accommodate a lowered excavator boom.
Marker boards can be fitted
at the rear as can metal deck posts and
a Convoi Exceptionnel sign.
Features
The Scania steering movement
is modest. The cab tilts to reveal the detailed
engine.
The gooseneck has support legs which
can be screwed up or down.
The Manoovr has independent suspension on two axles and there is very good proportional
steering. The front two axles and rear axle can be raised out of
service.
It has an extendible beam which is smooth in operation.
The
ramps can be lowered but they do not have an adjustable
spacing.
Quality
This is a high quality model with a high metal content.
The red line paint finish is excellent, and the graphics are sharp.
Price
The price is reasonable value for a heavy haulage model.
Overall
This smaller version of the Manoovr trailer
provides a great way to display lighter loads being
carried.
As usual the model looks great in the red line colour
scheme.
Footnotes
The model was released in September 2024.
