The XCMG XE370DK has an operating weight of 37 tonnes.
This model is in the unusual large scale of 1:30.
Packaging
The model comes in a large
high quality XCMG branded box. Inside the box, the
model is contained within a pair of expanded polystyrene
trays.
The review model had
no defects or missing parts.
No information is provided about the real machine.
A plastic pointer is included in the box.
Detail
As it is 1:30 scale the model is large and heavy.
Looking underneath, there is
little detail with a plastic base plate on the
undercarriage, but the underside of the body has some
panels detailed in the casting. The track frames have
small graphics and there are steps, but, there are no working rollers. The tracks are metal
with bolt head details.
Outside the operator's cab the mirror, grab rails and
protection guard are plastic, and the cab itself has a
metal frame. The interior detail is good, and includes a
figure at the controls which has very small XCMG badge.
The body has some subtle detailing with solid grilles
and panel handles within the casting . The graphics are very sharp.
There are lifting eye lugs above the counterweight but
they are solid with no holes.
On the side there are plastic hand rails and mirrors,
and the roof has textured surfaces with small graphics
on the engine cover.
The boom
has hydraulic hoses running to it from equipment inside
the body, and the boom top has pipes modelled within the
casting. The ram jackets are plastic and the
connection pins are small. There are nice large graphics
on the boom.
The
bucket has wear plate detailing with large teeth.
Features
The tracks are tensioned by spring-loaded idlers
and they turn easily enough by hand, and roll well on a
rough surface.
Rotation of the body is very smooth with no rocking.
The door of the operator's cab opens
to a moderate angle.
The boom, stick and bucket have a good range of
movement. The rams are stiff and will hold any pose.
Quality
This is a robust large model with a high metal
content.
The paintwork and graphics are very good.
Price
It is understood to be reasonably priced for a
large model.
Overall
Although this model is in an unusual scale it
will pose reasonably well with other models in 1:32
scale. It is imposing on the desktop and looks
good.
