The
XCMG XS333 is a smooth-drum road roller.
Packaging
The model comes in an XCMG branded box. Inside the box,
the model is contained within expanded polystyrene
trays.
The review model had no missing parts or defects.
No information is provided about the real machine.
Detail
Looking underneath, the rear axle transmission is
modelled and there are plastic scrapers to clean the drum.
The rear axle has nice tyres mounted on plastic wheels.
At the front the roller frame is modelled well with
sharp graphics, and indentations on the sides.
Hydraulic hoses run from the pivot point. The drum
is smooth in style but is actually modelled with fine
ridges.
At the pivot point there is a steering locking bar
modelled on one side.
The cab is very good, with a detailed
interior and plastic grab rails and mirrors. There
is a tiny beacon light on the metal roof.
The engine cover at the rear is very good with fine
quality mesh grilles. There are nice graphics on
the counterweight.
Features
The drum turns but does not spin freely because of
friction from the plastic scrapers.
The rear wheels spin together freely but the axle does
not oscillate.
Steering across the pivot point achieves a very limited
angle.
Both cab doors open widely.
The engine cover opens fully to reveal a detailed engine.
Quality
This model is solid and well made. It has a
high metal content with plastic used appropriately.
The paintwork and graphics are very good.
Price
It is good value for a large model.
Overall
Yagao has produced a decent road roller model
and it only lacks a little functionality in terms of the
steering angle. But it is nicely detailed and looks
good.
