Comment on this model.

The Vögele Super 1900-2 Tracked Paver has a maximum paving width of 11m and can lay up to 900 tonnes of material per hour.

This version of the model is in the colours of Emulithe, which is part of Eurovia France and hence is owned by the VINCI Group.

Packaging

The model comes in a Emulithe branded box which states on the ends that the model is a wheeled paver when in fact it is a tracked paver.  Inside the model is enclosed between polystyrene trays.

The review model had no defects or missing parts.

The model is complete with no assembly required, and there is no information describing its many features.  It does include a reprint of a brochure about the real machine which is very good.

Detail

The rubber tracks are fine and there is a non-functioning spreader auger on the underside.

At the front the hopper belt is represented within the metal casting and the hopper sides are also metal with very sharp graphics.  There are some non-functioning rollers for engaging the wheels of a discharging tipper.

The body is a good looking part with deep grilles and smart graphics.  The operator's area has a textured floor, a finely detailed console and the two seats are good.  The canopy above is metal which is interesting as the real machine has a glass fibre type material.  The hand rails are metal and realistically sized.

The screed has more textured surfaces and high quality handrails.  The cylinders to extend the screed are two stage but have been modelled as a single piece which is an acceptable modelling compromise.

Each end of the screed has a computer console and these are very finely detailed indeed.

Features

The tracks can roll but the bands are slightly oversize so are prone to jumping off the sprockets.

The hopper sides can close in to force material onto the belt.

Both operator's seats can be rotated out to provide a better view forwards, and the roof canopy above can be extended to provide shelter.  The console can move on a rail from side to side.

The canopy roof can be lowered to provide a reduced headroom for travelling on a transport vehicle.

The screed can be raised and lowered, and can be extended on both sides for width.

Quality

This is a very high quality model by NZG which is almost all metal.

It has very good paint and graphics.

Price

It is good value for the quality and functionality offered.

Overall

This is a really good paver model by NZG and it goes well with other models in the VINCI collection.  It is highly recommended.

Footnotes

The model first appeared in Vögele colours in 2007 and has been produced in a number of company liveries.
This version was an exclusive for the VINCI Shop and appeared in December 2013 with only 300 models made.
Good brochure reprint included.  Roof down with the paver in transport mode.
Hopper sides open.
Material screw underneath.
Detailed control panel.

Screed is detailed and mainly metal.
A good model for dioramas.
